Monday we decided to take a trip down the road to the Riverbanks Zoo. Thanks to the membership Grandaddy bought us, it's always free:)
We planned to go with our homeschool group, but just about everyone couldn't go due to sick kids. We called Aaron's buddy Spencer at the last minute and he was able to join us.

We left Sarah and Caleb with Mama Re so that we wouldn't be rushed. It was a beautiful day! We had so much fun!
Spring was DEFINITELY in the air. Many of the animals were...um, frisky.
The zoo welcomed a baby giraffe last year.
Levi wanted me to take a picture of his hand in the imprint of one of the gorilla's handprints.
We watched them feed the penguins. Aaron listened to the whole presentation. After it was over, he wanted to go find the lady and ask her a question. It was funny! Sometimes he is so shy about things like that, but he walked right up to the zoo worker and asked if penguins only ate fish. So cute!
